Preventing cervical cancer in Peru
CerviCusco is a Peruvian registered non-profit association dedicated to preventing cervical cancer. Established in 2006, CerviCusco is affiliated with the International Cervical Cancer (INCCA) Foundation, a non-profit (501c3) organization registered in the United States of America (www.theincca.org). CerviCusco is also supported by the Medical College of Georgia, Medical College of Georgia Research Institute and the Medical College of Georgia Foundation.
CerviCusco maintains a modern medical center in Cusco, Peru permanently staffed by a Peruvian healthcare team. Expert foreign medical providers work at CerviCusco on a volunteer basis throughout the year. Our professional staff delivers extraordinary care for all women, including those who are disenfranchised and impoverished. In addition to specializing in the prevention of cervical cancer, CerviCusco also provides other women´s health care services. CerviCusco serves as an educational training site for future health care providers. We also conduct IRB-approved clinical research studies thereby making tomorrow’s healthcare available today.
